Just so miss the class and dignity your show had.  You acted the character with equanimity. The Buck character was strong but also firstly meek.  He had high esteem for others and treated people well.  I also feel the loss of a certain style of athletic clothing that I had (my mom's doing), but has been lost, like jogging suits with lines on the sleeves.  And Buck goes back to the '30s, when my dad was boy.  After your show, unfortunately the times sort of overwhelmed the paragon of human dignity the writers forged and the acting, and you reemerge on ME-TV.  Just like the Buck Rogers story itself sort of:  lost to one time but then returns.  So glad 1987 was the year, too.  What other show gets people to think 500 years into the future?   One may think it could have been this way or that, but maybe just the way it was meant to be. While manners and censors are gone in current times, here we are at some lows looking up, and if you even try to descend with it is against your nature.  Bill Bixby also had that clear headedness that is missed.

Hi Gil
We met in the mid 1970s when I was an intern and then worked for WNBC TV at 30 Rock and you were on The Doctors. We lost touch shortly after you were involved in other projects
Just wanted to say hello and reconnect

Thanks for the great TV series! Would you be up for a cameo in a Buck Rogers movie? Hollywood, in my opinion, have been dropping the ball on these remakes lately! God Bless!

Greetings, Mr. Gerard! My name is Sean McCoy. I am 47 years old. I was just a young boy when Buck Rogers aired on TV. It was, and still is, one of my all time favorite shows! I was a small, shy kid with not many friends or role models. I watched a lot of television growing up. I think I subconsciously modeled myself after characters I saw on those shows I watched! I recently just finished viewing all of the Buck Rogers series again. What a joy to revisit my childhood! I realize now that a lot of who I am today is because of you and your portrayal of Captain Buck Rogers! He was a true hero!! Not so much because of the things he did, but because of his heart, his courage and bravery, and his compassion for others. I know that the character you played is fictional, but you are not! I'd like to believe that there was a lot of Gil Gerard in Buck Rogers! Your kindness and caring shown through! So, a big THANK YOU Mr. Gerard for being such an inspiration to millions of kids like me! God bless!

After seeing the show again ( Buck Rogers ) brings back my young fan years. It was one of the best shows that was on t.v at the time and wasn't missed. I maybe a lot older but feel younger when seeing it .I'am glad that it is on t.v again and showing the younger generation that t.v shows as Buck Rogers  in the 25 century was one of all time greats
